2. Sew up sides
3. Block

Seems manageable, no?

I'm on!!!

Just received my email confirmation for Secret Pal 10!!!
*jumpinforjoy*

Now I am just bursting to get to know who I am going to spoil!!!

Secret Pal 10

I signed up for it...hope it worked out alright and I created a sidebar link to my SP 10 page :o)

Progress!

I have finally finished the shoulder seams...I decided to frog the BO and do a neat Three-Needle-Bind-Off and am VERY proud of myself for not having ruined the whole thing but actually made it through the frogging and picking up without any stitch-loss. So now I am knitting away on the hoodie part of the hoodie.
And I had to discover that the stitch holders and my handling of the parts made some of the stitches grow to enormous sizes. Which means I will have to somehow fudge the stitches, because right now I have two huge holes at the sides of the hood. But I am feeling absolutely proud and happy, nothing can stop me, not even stupid holes!!!

Weather: Somehow the brief Spring is over and autumn has set in...after a lovely warm and sunny weekend, there was frost announced today on the weather forecast...*hugesigh*

Work: Tomorrow I will have to get up at 5:00 am, I will surely die...

I forgot to...

take along my knitting to work so I just spent the most boring 24 h shift tof my life! How did this happen? I simply slept too long yesterday morning and being the chaotic person I am, simply had forgotten to put it all in a bag the night before (this meant no time in the morning because I did want to get to work on time)...so, no news on the hoodie front. But since today is Sunday and a day off, I will try and manage to squeeze in a couple of hours of nice knitting in front of the teevee! *yay*

Today's plans:

1. Blocking the sleeves
2. Sewing shoulder seams
3. Knit hoodie

Sounds swell, doesn't it?
Me thinks it does, yup!

And another thing that has occured to me:

I DESPERATELY need a project tote, so off to the fabric stash! I have some bits of nice corduroy (from an abandoned skirt project) which will make a nice and showy tote! (And maybe a needle case?)

Stash enhancement:

At first I made the solemn vow never to become a stash hoarding person. It simply does not coordinate well with the limited amount of space of our flat and my boyfriend's tolerance...but somehow, I have already managed to acquire yarn suitable for more than four projects (at least I bought patterns to go with them) and since my fabric stash is still insurmountable, my yarn stash enhancement should not continue that way...but I was told sock yarn doesn't count?
Because I just found a supplier for the praised Lorna's Laces right here in good old Germany...*lesigh*

Forgot to mention...

I got a new book today:

The Knitting Answer Book by Radcliffe

So far I have noticed two things: Yes, it does answer a lot of things and yes, the Q&A thingie does make finding the A's a lot more complicated than necessary.

What did I truly accomplish?

The second sleeve...

Somehow I am feeling tired and sleepy...tomorrow is another day...

Hoodie Progress

I have made some progress:

1. body front - finished
2. body back - finished
3. sleeves - one finished, one well through the middle

Things left to do tomorrow (my first day off in twelve days):

1. finish sleeve no. 2
2. sew shoulder seams
3. knit hood
4. sew the whole thing together
5. block the hoodie

I am quite curious to see how far I will progress...

A Pic of my currently most beloved item

Well, at least here it is...my Gryffindor Scarf being blocked (you will of course notice that a) the scarf is huge and I love it that way and b) I didn't know much about blocking then...)
It has been worn regularly and lovingly each and every single day since its completion and I still think me a genius in knitting this monster in less than three weeks on circular needles (that way it turned out thick and yummy). Pattern by a good friend of mine who actually sat at the cinema counting rows whenever there was a close up to be seen.

Futzing the blog

No real news except that I am currently trying to undisclose the secrets of blogging...and of course I have made some progress with the hoodie, after having to frog one sleeve once completely *aaargl*
Right now I am on the lookout for a loose bind off, since the one I usually employ is way to tight...I do not consider cutting off circulation the right thing to do! And hopefully my camera will turn up at our place sometime soon so I can show you all my lovely green hoodie as is...

Me too!!

This is it, my blog!

I knit and I blog...and you may witness it all!
